Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox born December 25, 1954, Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox was a student at Lennox's Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She studied the harpsichord and the flautist piano for 3 years. The money she earned came from a student allowance and took off on a part-time job to supplement her budget. In the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance compared to her student classmates and contemplated a possible alternative route she could take. Lennox started her professional career in 1976 as a member of a band called Dragons Playground. But she quit before the band was requested to take part in I.T.V.'s talent show New Faces. From 1977 until 1980, she was the lead vocalist for The Tourists, a British Pop group. In this band, she was met by Dave Stewart. Together they created The Eurythmics pop duo. Lennox started work for Diva in 1992. It was her debut solo album. The album had a tremendous success both commercially as well as critically. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo album came out in November of 2014. The C.D. contains a collection of Lennoxs favourite blues and soul jazz tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four tracks that she improvised for piano that Lennox has released in May 2019. The E.P. The singer-songwriter released her debut solo album along with her artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, titled "Now I'm letting You Go."
